"Before I became a volunteer, I never realised how much help the birds in our community needed. It feels nice to be able to help them, from abandoned baby gulls to old pigeons who are getting frail."
Coralie Thomson
"The care my injured seagull received was exceptional. It's heartening to know there's such a dedicated volunteer organisation making a difference."
Mark Davies
"As a volunteer, I've seen firsthand the incredible impact Bardsea Bird Sanctuary has. Every bird gets a chance, thanks to our community's help."

Our Sanctuary
Our Sanctuary is located in Bardsea, near Ulverston. Many of the birds we rescue get taken here for rehabilitation. Some, however, stay with our volunteers in smaller groups if they need more support.
